The Department of Psychology in the Faculty of Arts and Science at the University of Toronto invites applications for a full-time tenure stream position in the area of Mental Health and Well-Being Psychology. The appointment will be at the rank of Assistant Professor with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2027.

Candidates must have earned a PhD degree in Psychology or a related area by the time of appointment, or shortly thereafter, with a demonstrated record of excellence in research and teaching in mental health and well-being. The successful candidate will be expected to pursue innovative and independent research, and to establish an outstanding, competitive, and externally funded research program.

We seek candidates with a research program that has applications to mental health and well-being, and that aligns with one or more of our existing core research areas: developmental psychology; perception, cognition and cognitive neuroscience; social and personality psychology; or behavioural neuroscience.

Candidates must provide evidence of research excellence which can be demonstrated through a record of publications in top-ranked and field-relevant journals or forthcoming publications that meet high international standards; the submitted research statement; presentations at significant conferences; awards and accolades; and strong endorsements from referees.

We seek candidates who would be able to teach undergraduate courses on topics that may include psychopathology, psychotherapy, clinical science, mental health psychology, addictions, social determinants of health and well-being, or related areas. In addition, the successful candidate will be assigned a teaching and service load.

The successful candidate will undertake undergraduate and graduate teaching responsibilities on the University’s St. George Campus.

HIRING SALARY RANGE

The expected salary range is $130,000 to $170,000 CAD per annum, depending on experience. Negotiations beyond this salary range will be considered for exceptionally qualified candidates.

The Department of Psychology at Binghamton University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in the Clinical Science Ph.D. Program, with a research focus on schizophrenia and other severe mental illnesses (SMI). Our program holds dual accreditation from PCSAS and the APA Commission on Accreditation and is a member of the Academy of Psychological Clinical Science. We seek a clinical scientist whose research advances mechanistic understanding of psychotic and SMI, including etiology, assessment development, and intervention research. Methodological approach is open and may include cognitive, neural, psychophysiological, computational, social, or psychosocial approaches. The Department of Psychology at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities announces a search for an outstanding scholar to fill a tenure-track assistant professor position focused on computational approaches to perception and/or cognition. This full-time position in the Department’s Cognitive and Brain Sciences (CAB) Training Program will begin in Fall 2027.

Applications are invited from researchers who would extend or complement our historic strengths in combining experimental and computational approaches to perception and cognition. Basic Function:
The California Lutheran University Graduate School of Psychology (GSoP) invites applications for a full-time, Assistant Professor tenure-track position in our APA-accredited PsyD Program in Clinical Psychology beginning in Fall 2027. The PsyD Program is a secular program that values science and social justice and directly affirms sexual and gender minority inclusivity.

Under the direction of the Dean and Program Director, the Assistant Professor is responsible for providing academic instruction to students for the assigned graduate courses. The Assistant Professor is to serve as an academic advisor to students; contribute to department and university activities; serve on faculty or university committees; engage in scholarly activities, and/or creative endeavors.

The successful applicant for this position will demonstrate outstanding commitment to doctoral teaching and dissertation research mentorship. While the position is open to applicants with demonstrated expertise and capacity to teach across any area of health service psychology, we particularly invite applicants with a background in neuropsychology, health psychology, sports psychology, forensic psychology, or cognitive and personality assessment. Additional duties include developing a program of research that engages graduate students, academic advising, dissertation supervision, clinical supervision of doctoral trainees, participating in ongoing program development within the PsyD program, serving on faculty and university committees, and establishing collaborative relationships within the University and broader community.

The Graduate School of Psychology is comprised of a PsyD program in Clinical Psychology, Master of Science programs in Clinical Psychology and Counseling Psychology (MFT emphasis), and a large community counseling center that provide low-fee Spanish and English clinical services both in person and telehealth (over 10,000 appointments annually). For faculty interested in research with clinical populations, the clinic provides individual, couples, family, group, and child services to community members with mild to moderate mental health issues and currently offers specialized programs in dialectical behavior therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and Spanish-speaking services.

The PsyD program accepts 25 students per cohort and distinguishes itself by having small classes, a caring faculty and staff, state of the art facilities and technology, and a rigorous curriculum designed to train students in accordance with APA’s Profession-wide Competencies. The program is committed to training students to integrate science and practice, develop competency in research and scholarship, and appreciate human diversity by serving the underserved.

Representative Duties:
• Provide academic instruction to students through lecture; assess and develop student communication skills and higher order thinking skills through appropriate assignments and activities. E
• Advise and instruct students regarding programs of study, lifelong learning resources, and effective study skills; refer students to support services, programs, resources, and other professionals as appropriate. E
