			<p>Midwestern University, College of Health Sciences, invites applications for the part-time (.6 FTE) position of Assistant Professor within the APA accredited Clinical Psychology Program on the Glendale, AZ Campus. The Clinical Psychology Program adheres to a practitioner-scholar model of training and awards a Doctor of Psychology degree (Psy.D.) to students who complete the program. The Program operates on a quarter system and students typically complete their training, including a pre-doctoral Internship, within four years. The Program also offers an optional Neuropsychology track and Health Psychology track for students interested in training in one of these major areas of study. Because Midwestern University offers degree opportunities in several graduate-level health care related areas, clinical students are afforded many opportunities to develop skills in integrated health and interdisciplinary collaboration.</p>
<p>To be eligible for this position, the candidate should be a graduate of an APA-accredited clinical psychology program (Psy.D. or Ph.D.). Candidates must be licensed as a psychologist, or be eligible to obtain a license, in the state of Arizona. The candidate should have excellent communication skills and have demonstrated relevant experience in graduate level teaching, clinical practice, and research.</p>
<p>The Assistant Professor is expected to teach courses in psychological testing/assessment in the general curriculum and contribute to the oversight and advisement (including dissertation mentorship) for students in the program’s neuropsychology concentration. There may also be opportunities to teach neuropsychology courses. Department faculty also periodically provide supervision coverage of our students at our Psychology Clinic at the university’s Therapy Institute. Salary and benefits are competitive.</p>

<p><b>About the Role: </b></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Join the Uwill team to support student mental health. Be part of the solution that provides immediacy, student choice, and eliminates barriers for students to receive the mental health support they need. As a </span><b>Uwill Counselor</b><span style="font-weight: 400"> you will be offering teletherapy sessions by video, phone, or chat message to students at our partner institutions. This is a 1099 independent contractor role with flexible scheduling.</span></p>
<p><b>Essential Job Functions:</b></p>
<ul>
<li style="font-weight: 400"><span style="font-weight: 400">Manage an active clinical caseload from the initial session through graduation from care. </span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400"><span style="font-weight: 400">Conduct therapy sessions via video, telephone, or chat, providing real-time support in a tele-health environment. </span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400"><span style="font-weight: 400">Apply evidence-based therapeutic practices and tailored SMART goals tailored to individual needs.</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400"><span style="font-weight: 400">Practice culturally competent care to meet the needs of a diverse client base including but not limited to: first-time therapy seekers, BIPOC students, LGBTQ+ students, first-generation students, veterans, and athletes. </span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400"><span style="font-weight: 400">Adhere to the risk assessment and management process of Uwill, including assessing for risk during the initial session with a student and as needed thereafter. </span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400"><span style="font-weight: 400">Document all sessions and clinical interactions within time frame expectations.</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400"><span style="font-weight: 400">Respond to student messages in a timely manner.</span></li>
</ul>
<p><b>Minimum Qualifications (Mandatory):</b></p>
<ul>
<li style="font-weight: 400"><b>Master’s degree</b><span style="font-weight: 400"> in a relevant mental-health field.</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400"><span style="font-weight: 400">At least 2 years of telehealth therapy experience using a variety of clinical modalities.</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400"><b>Independent clinical license allowing unsupervised practice</b><span style="font-weight: 400"> (e.g., LPC, LMHC, LCSW, LICSW, LMFT, PsyD).</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400"><span style="font-weight: 400">Ability to provide therapy in English and at least one additional language.</span>
<ul>
<li style="font-weight: 400"><b>High-priority languages include (but are not limited to):</b><span style="font-weight: 400"><br /></span><span style="font-weight: 400"> American Sign Language (ASL), Mandarin, Cantonese, Farsi, Korean, Tagalog, French, Russian, Ukrainian, Vietnamese, Portuguese, Thai, Arabic, Hindi, and other less-common or heritage languages.</span></li>
</ul>
</li>
<li style="font-weight: 400"><span style="font-weight: 400">Current professional liability insurance.</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400"><span style="font-weight: 400">HIPAA-compliant private workspace suitable for telehealth sessions.</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400"><span style="font-weight: 400">Ability to provide sessions via Zoom on a computer or laptop running Mac OS 10.13+ or Windows 10+, with a camera, microphone, and internet speed of at least 10 Mbps.</span></li>
</ul>
<p><b>Special Knowledge, Skills, or Abilities:</b></p>
<ul>
<li style="font-weight: 400"><span style="font-weight: 400">Excellent interpersonal, and listening communication skills.</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400"><span style="font-weight: 400">Excellent verbal and written communication skills, critical-thinking skills, use of sound judgment.</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400"><span style="font-weight: 400">Proven ability to relate effectively to a wide variety of people of various ages and backgrounds, student developmental needs, nationality, culture, faith/religion, language difference, ability differences, sexual orientation, gender identity, or expression.</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400"><span style="font-weight: 400">Possess the ability to work with a wide range of individuals presenting mental health concerns across broad levels of acuity including first-time therapy seekers. </span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400"><span style="font-weight: 400">Ability to assess risk and refer to Uwill’s Clinical Support team as needed.   </span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400"><span style="font-weight: 400">Ability to respond with empathy, professionalism, and meet students where they are.</span></li>
