Dominican University seeks candidates for a tenure-track Assistant Professor who specializes in human cognition. The ideal candidate will teach courses in cognitive psychology, learning and memory, and other courses appropriate to her/his preparation and interest and will also contribute to our innovative and integrated courses in Behavioral Research and Statistics. Candidates will pursue programmatic research that actively involves undergraduate student collaborators, and will supervise undergraduates’ research.
 
A PhD in Cognitive Psychology at time of appointment is preferred but ABD candidates will be considered. Special consideration will be given to people who can teach in our growing Neuroscience program. The department has an electrophysiology lab, but does not have the facilities to support research with non-human vertebrate animals (though we do have an IRB and facilities for invertebrate research animals).
 
 
Evaluation of applications will begin November 18th and will continue until the position is filled. The starting date for this position is January, 2018.
