The University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) Department of Psychology expects to hire a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Clinical Psychology to serve as the Director of our Psychology Training Clinic with appointment beginning in August, 2018. Position requirements include a doctoral degree in clinical psychology, experience delivering clinical supervision, and strong preparation to initiate an independent program of research. The position involves approximately 50% effort devoted to research, and 50% devoted to clinical training, supervision, and clinic administration. We are especially interested in candidates with strong potential to attract external funding. The successful candidate will be a member of UMBC’s doctoral program in Human Services Psychology, which is grounded in the biopsychosocial model and includes integrative training tracks in Clinical Psychology (APA accredited), Behavioral Medicine, and Community Psychology. UMBC is classified by the Carnegie Foundation as a Research University with high research activity (RU/H). It is located in the Baltimore-Washington corridor near major medical schools, NIH, and other federal agencies that afford extensive opportunities for research collaboration.
