The University of Rochester University Counseling Center (UCC) is seeking applications for the position of Associate Director of Training, joining a supportive, diverse multidisciplinary staff committed to robust, self-reflective, culturally-informed training and clinical services.
The Associate Director of Training will have demonstrated expertise and knowledge in the provision of training guided by best practice guidelines, and will have roles as an administrator, supervisor, clinician and consultant to the campus community. Preference will be given to candidates with interest and specific experience in training within a clinically rigorous and self-reflective model. The successful applicant will be hard-working, diversity affirming, and fluent in various treatment approaches including psychodynamic theory. The Associate Director of Training reports to the Director, has a Clinical Faculty appointment in the Department of Psychiatry, and has a senior level administrative role within the Counseling Center with administrative oversight of all training programs and primary responsibility for the APA-accredited doctoral internship.
Applicants must have a doctoral degree from an APA accredited doctoral program in clinical or counseling psychology, an APA accredited internship, relevant postdoctoral and professional experience, and be license eligible in New York. This is a 12 month position beginning July 2019. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience, and a generous benefits package is included.
