Position Summary:
 
The Clinic Director, new to the School of Social Ecology, will be housed within the Department of Psychological Science (PS). The department offers exciting and innovative programs of study at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Our 36 faculty members are prominent scholars whose specialties include developmental, social, personality, health, psychology and law, biological, clinical, cultural, community, environmental, and ecological psychology. The faculty are united by an overarching interest in understanding the origins of human behavior as it develops across the life course and in diverse sociocultural contexts. The faculty also share a strong commitment to interdisciplinary scholarship and to research that has the potential for application to important societal problems.
 
Under the direction of the Faculty Director of Clinical Training, the Clinic Director will be responsible for the development and implementation of a psychology training, research and services clinic. Clinic services will include both intervention and assessment. The person will be responsible for clinic operations including protection of private health information, record keeping, scheduling, maintaining a resource repository, and other related tasks. The position will also involve clinical supervision of graduate students in clinical psychology who will be on a practicum within the clinic.
 
Compensation Range:
 
$89,915.79 – $133,476.67

Required:
 
Licensed as a psychologist in California (or license-eligible in California). Must be licensed as a psychologist in another US state or territory, or equivalent jurisdiction, if not in possession of a current CA license by start date.
Ph.D in Clinical Psychology from an APA accredited doctoral program.

Broad understanding and utilization of evidence-based approaches to clinical care. Excellent interpersonal skills to create and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse range of constituents. Demonstrated ability to exercise discretion, sound judgement, and maintain strict confidentiality. Clinical and research experience from a scientist-practitioner or clinical science-oriented program. Thorough knowledge associated with providing evaluation, diagnosis and psychotherapy services. Thorough knowledge of applicable laws and standards of professional conduct. Knowledge of Federal and California laws governing the practice of psychology and privacy practices in educational institutions. Highly effective written and verbal communication Knowledge of electronic/medical records systems Completion of a psychology internship program.
 
Preferred:
 
Supervision experience with psychology students or interns, preferably in an APA accredited program. Experience in clinical assessments (e.g., court ordered evaluations, disabilities eligibility evaluations).
