This position is a 12-month, full-time, non-tenure clinical-track appointment beginning on or about January 16, 2019.  Candidates must possess a Ph.D., and be licensed or license-eligible as a clinical psychologist in the State of Illinois. Expertise in applied psychological testing and assessment, clinical supervision and training, and behavioral health systems is strongly preferred.

The successful candidate will function in the areas of diagnostic services, teaching and clinical supervision, consultation, and public engagement.

Service duties will include the direct provision of:

  • Psychological testing and assessment to individuals from the community and/or within the University for the purpose of diagnostic clarification.
  • Neurodevelopmental consultation with clients, caregivers, family members, service providers, educators, advisors, coaches, and/or employers.

Teaching and clinical supervision duties will include:

  • Clinical supervision of psychometrist(s), graduate students, pre-doctoral psychology interns, post-doctoral psychology fellows, psychiatry residents, and advanced undergraduate students.
  • Development and implementation of training opportunities related to psychological testing, assessment, and/or neurodevelopmental disorders based on IN/BAL and departmental needs. This may include online learning courses.

Consultation duties will include:

  • Collaboration with faculty and researchers across campus departments to meet clinical needs and support grant-related activities.
  • Management of clinical support staff.
  • Participation in strategic planning initiatives with the IN/BAL director(s) and stakeholders.
  • Provision of feedback to director(s) and staff members to ensure that all aspects of daily operations are effectively facilitating IN/BAL’s objectives.

Public engagement duties may include:

  • Establishing and maintaining positive working relationships with staff members and researchers across various units at the University.
  • Provision of trainings for behavioral health practitioners, parents, teachers, etc.
