Job Description:

The California School of Professional Psychology (CSPP) is seeking a Core Faculty member with both academic and clinical experience for a small, innovative, Clinical PhD Psychology program that has been continuously accredited by the American Psychological Association since 1984. Recently, the program was successful in being awarded a 10-year accreditation under the new Standards of Accreditation. Based on the scholar-practitioner model, CSPP’s emphasis provides the University’s students with high quality clinical competence, applied research training, and teaching skills for higher education. This full-time/half-time position has associated academic responsibilities and may also include some minimal clinical responsibilities, such as review of internship materials. The program is interested in all areas of clinical psychology including clinical forensic, child and family systems, neuropsychology, mental health assessment, multicultural and international psychology, and/or other specializations that would broaden the richness of training for our students. Rank: Assistant Professor.

The program is deeply engaged with diverse multicultural communities of Central California, and the Program Director will be expected to provide institutional visibility and commitment to serving the mental health needs of and advocacy for underserved populations.

Requirements:

Doctoral degree in psychology (licensed or license eligible in CA), graduate level teaching, clinical experience, as well as a recent record of scholarship. The successful applicant will demonstrate a commitment to teaching excellence, collaboration, clinical expertise, infusion of diversity throughout the program, and productive scholarship.  Familiarity with APA Accreditation processes would be valued. Women, persons of color, persons with disabilities and persons from other underrepresented groups are encouraged to apply, as we actively seek to increase diversity at all levels.
