Starting Salary Range: $80,652 – $110,724 / annually. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.

The Licensed Psychologist reports to the Director of Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) and is assigned duties as specified herein. The Licensed Psychologist will provide high quality clinical services to address the mental health needs of UC Santa Cruz graduate students; community psychology/outreach and consultation services to UC Santa Cruz graduate students; and may provide supervision/training of doctoral interns and postdoctoral fellows.

All CAPS staff are expected to have awareness, knowledge, and skills to effectively provide professional service to a diverse student body.

All the Licensed Psychologist’s activities are performed within the limits of standards and ethical principles of the California Board of Psychology, as well as applicable legal mandates for mental health professionals in the State of California.

Some special conditions include:

Valid California licensure, in good standing, in Psychology

OR

Valid out-of-state licensure, in good standing, in Psychology*

*Out of State licensed psychologists are required to acquire California licensure within 180 days from either submitting the licensure application or beginning California residency, whichever occurs first.

Selected candidate will be required to pass both a pre-hire criminal history background check followed by a pre-hire credentialing check

Qualifications include:

• Demonstrated clinical experience with individuals using a brief therapy model

• Demonstrated strong clinical and crisis management skills, including ability to work with high acuity students with complex mental health needs

• Experience in facilitating psychotherapy and psychoeducational groups

• Experience designing and implementing multiculturally sensitive outreach programs and psychoeducational workshops

• Demonstrated multicultural competence in mental health service provision
