Position Description
The Department of Mental Health Law and Policy (MHLP), Louis de la Parte Florida Mental Health Institute (FMHI), College of Behavioral and Community Sciences (CBCS), University of South Florida (USF) invites applications from
qualified candidates to fill a 9-month faculty position at the rank of Instructor. Salary is competitive. This position will involve development and teaching of primarily undergraduate courses and involvement in other administrative tasks
related to teaching as assigned by the Academic Director or Chair of MHLP. The successful candidate is expected to have a clinical teaching or training background in behavioral health relating to one or more of the following areas:

• Behavioral healthcare and telehealth
• Integration of behavioral and physical healthcare
• Prevention, health promotion, and early intervention in behavioral health
• Underserved populations and disparities in behavioral health services
• Behavioral health issues within the adult/juvenile justice systems
• Public sector mental health and substance use services, policy, and financing
• Implementation science and behavioral health
• Global behavioral health
• Trauma-informed care

The anticipated start date for this position is August 9, 2022.

Minimum Qualifications
Master’s degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate field of specialization or equivalent qualifications based on professional experience and otherwise qualified to perform assigned duties.

Preferred Qualifications
The successful candidate must hold, at a minimum, a Master’s degree in a behavioral health related field and a demonstrated record of clinical teaching or training in areas consistent with the mission of MHLP. The preferred candidate will hold a terminal degree (e.g., MSW, PhD, EdD, EdS, DrPH), have excellent communication and
interpersonal skills, a record of collaborative work with both academic and community partners, and two or more years of experience teaching and/or training at the undergraduate level.
