The Department of Psychology at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign invites applications for a full-time tenure-track open-rank position in the area of social psychology. We are particularly interested in candidates with an emphasis on Diversity Science broadly defined. Diversity Science is a broad approach to studying difference (how it manifests, when it matters, why it matters) as well as studying disparities and inequality. This includes, but is not limited to, a focus on difference or equity with regard to race, sex, gender identity, social class, sexual orientation, religion, culture, intersectionality, and other social and economic factors. Successful candidates are expected to establish and maintain an active and independent research program, teach effectively at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, and provide service to the department, the university, and the profession. A Ph.D. in Psychology or other discipline broadly related to diversity science is required prior to the start date. The target start date is August 16, 2023, but is negotiable.
