Description:

The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences invites applicants for a full-time licensed psychologist who will provide direct psychological services including comprehensive psychological assessments, evaluations, treatment, and consultation at the Behavioral Health Outpatient Clinic at University Medical Center and Tulane University School of Medicine. The psychologist will be responsible for the direct mental health care of adults, will provide consultation to healthcare professionals, and will engage in research, teaching, and supervision in the medical school setting.

Required Qualifications:

1. PhD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology
2. Licensure in Clinical Psychology

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities/Competencies:

1. Crisis Intervention
2. Experience with adults with mental health concerns
3. Interdisciplinary consultation and collaboration skills
4. Individual and group therapy skills
5. Ability to develop and implement individual intervention plans
6. Psychological assessment and evaluation skills for adult patients
7. Experience in training other professionals and trainees
8. Skills to complete consultations and required documentation
9. Competent communication and writing skills
10. Flexibility and ability to organize and manage time independently

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Experience working with medical professionals
2. Experience participating as a member of an interdisciplinary team
3. Experience in supervision and teaching
4. Experience in consultation with allied professionals
