ACHS is a community-embedded, socially responsible, clinical training program of Adler University. The Division of Community Health Chicago provides comprehensive mental health services in underserved communities of Chicago through partnerships with local agencies.  Mental health services are principally provided by graduate-level students attending Adler’s clinical psychology, couple and family therapy, and counseling programs.  ACHS’ Division of Community Health Chicago has an APA-accredited doctoral internship program, in addition to masters- and doctoral-training placements in psychotherapy and assessment externships (practica), and post-doctoral residencies.

Principal Responsibilities: The clinical supervisor’s main responsibility is to provide clinical supervision across all levels of training to disciplines they are qualified to supervise.  Clinical supervision includes evidence-informed psychotherapy (individual, couples, family and group) and triage, assessment, and/or psychological testing. Supervision of students is performed face-to-face, through live observation, and/or tele-supervision when appropriate.  In addition, the clinical supervisor will work with assigned community partners to coordinate the student-delivered mental health services within the parameters of the ACHS contract. When clinically indicated, the clinical supervisor may also provide direct services.

Qualifications: A doctoral degree in psychology, counseling or related field; in addition to a valid license or license-eligible to practice clinical psychology in the state of Illinois.
