<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Duties &amp; Responsibilities:</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">The Staff Clinician is a 12-month continuing position that provides short-term individual, group and crisis counseling, after-hours coverage, consultation services and outreach programming, and training and supervision of graduate students and doctoral interns. In addition to these clinical responsibilities, this position will also work with international students, students of color, students from other marginalized or underrepresented groups, and other areas of DEI outreach as identified in collaboration with the CC’s DEI Administrative Coordinator.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Minimum Qualifications:</span></p>
<ul>
<li><span style="font-weight: 400"> The successful candidate must have a master’s degree in counseling or social work or a doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology and be licensed or license eligible as a licensed professional counselor, licensed clinical social worker, or licensed clinical psychologist in the Commonwealth of Virginia.</span></li>
</ul>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Desired Qualifications:</span></p>
<ul>
<li style="font-weight: 400"><span style="font-weight: 400">Preference for candidate to be licensed within the Commonwealth of VA within one year.</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400"><span style="font-weight: 400">Previous training and/or experience in a college mental health setting, including experience developing liaison relationships with and providing outreach programming to international students, students of color, and students from other marginalized or underrepresented groups.</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400"><span style="font-weight: 400">Interest and/or experience collaborating with other departments or offices on multidisciplinary teams.</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400"><span style="font-weight: 400">Well-developed counseling and clinical supervision skills.</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400"><span style="font-weight: 400">A demonstrated commitment to multicultural competency.</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400"><span style="font-weight: 400">A self-motivated, self-directed commitment to high professional ideals.</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400"><span style="font-weight: 400">Demonstrated skill in working well under pressure to prioritize and manage multiple complex clinical situations.</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400"><span style="font-weight: 400">A collaborative spirit of warmth, acceptance, respect and trust towards colleagues.</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400"><span style="font-weight: 400">The energy to flexibly manage the professional demands of the role while maintaining positive and healthy perspectives and relationships.</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400"><span style="font-weight: 400">Interest and/or experience collaborating with other departments on multidisciplinary teams.</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400"><span style="font-weight: 400">Excellent oral and written communication skills.</span></li>
