<p style="text-align: left"><span data-contrast="none"><strong>The UW Counseling Center has an outstanding opportunity for multiple Counseling Center Therapists and Psychologists</strong></span></p>
<p><span data-contrast="none"> Psychologists and therapists provide counseling, crisis and outreach services to a diverse population of enrolled UW Seattle students, to enhance their personal and academic success and ameliorate barriers to that success.  They also provide professional consultation to UW faculty, staff, and students regarding student behavior, mental health, and academic challenges in order to enhance an inclusive campus climate for student success. They will also supervise the clinical work of doctoral psychology interns.</span> <br /> <br /><span data-contrast="none">This position involves daily intense contact with diverse UW students in psychological or academic distress.  Assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and appropriate referrals – on and off campus – will be required.  Ability to effectively work with underserved students is necessary.  This position serves as counselor-on-duty for some portion of the week, requiring excellent crisis intervention skills. This position may provide clinical supervision for doctoral psychology interns in clinical or counseling psychology, requiring expertise in supervision models and a good understanding of risk management issues.</span> <br /> <br /><span data-contrast="none">Psychologists and Therapists will provide consultation to a variety of departments and constituents on campus, including LiveWell, Career and Internship Center, Residential Life, Disability Resources for Students, Hall Health, Academic Advisors, Office of Minority Affairs and Diversity, and UWPD.  The person will be part of an interdisciplinary team designed to enhance the mental health of UW students and create a healthier campus climate and to respond to mental health crises.</span> <br /> <br /><b><span data-contrast="none">RESPONSIBILITIES:</span></b> <br /> <br /><b><span data-contrast="none">Psychotherapy</span></b> <br /><span data-contrast="none">Provide clinical counseling for individual, group, and couple therapy to currently-enrolled UW students, including initial intake assessments and referral.</span> <br /> <br /><b><span data-contrast="none">Outreach and Prevention Services</span></b> <br /><span data-contrast="none">Provide educational outreach presentations to student groups, faculty and staff as requested.</span> <br /> <br /><b><span data-contrast="none">Teaching and Supervision</span></b> <br /><span data-contrast="none">Provide individual clinical supervision of doctoral psychology interns and/or teach training seminars on topics of expertise and interest, e.g., working with international students.</span> <br /> <br /><b><span data-contrast="none">Crisis Intervention</span></b> <br /><span data-contrast="none">Assess and intervene when students present in crisis, with problems of a complex or threatening nature.</span> <br /> <br /><b><span data-contrast="none">Consultation</span></b> <br /><span data-contrast="none">Provide professional consultation to UW faculty, staff, and students regarding student behavior, mental health, and academic challenges in order to enhance an inclusive campus climate for student success.</span> <br /> <br /><b><span data-contrast="none">Professional Development</span></b> <br /><span data-contrast="none">Serve on departmental and campus committees and engage in continuing education opportunities to keep current in the field, including maintaining clinical license to practice in Washington</span> <br /> <br /><span data-contrast="none">As a UW employee, you will enjoy generous benefits and work/life programs. </span> <br /> <br /><b><span data-contrast="none">Requirements </span></b><span data-ccp-props="{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559740&quot;:240}"> </span></p>
