Position Summary:

The http://www.yu.edu/ferkauf/clinical-psychology/ (PsyD) at the Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology of Yeshiva University in New York City seeks to hire two tenure-track Assistant Professors in Clinical Psychology. We are a vibrant and collegial faculty whose mission is to train highly effective, professional, and knowledgeable scholar-practitioners who are committed to life-long learning in clinical psychology. The program is unique in its structure, providing a shared foundation of common principles and relational competencies as well as specialization tracks in both CBT and Psychodynamic approaches. Trainees have opportunities in a variety of contexts with diverse populations through our Parnes Clinic as well as through partnerships with NYC externship sites. The position will begin in Fall, 2023. The call is open and candidates in all areas of clinical psychology will be considered. Applicants with a strong track record of clinical experience and research productivity showing promise of grant funding are sought. Strong preference will be given to applicants who conduct research and can contribute to teaching and clinical training in the following broad areas applied with diverse clinical populations: (1) measurement and psychological assessment, (2) principles and mechanisms of psychopathology and/or psychotherapy.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Developing an independent program of research
  • Mentoring students in doctoral level research
  • Graduate teaching
  • Ongoing evaluation of student clinical competencies

Skills & Competencies:

The candidate should be licensed or license eligible in New York State as a clinical psychologist at the time of hire.
