The Department of Psychology of Lehman College, CUNY invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty member at the Assistant Professor rank with a start date of August 2026 in the areas of A) Clinical psychology or B) Neuropsychology including clinical, developmental, and cross-cultural neuropsychology. Candidates must have a record of research and publication commensurate with their level of experience and a strong commitment to seeking external funding and teaching at the undergraduate level.

We are seeking candidates with an established program of research in A) Clinical psychology or B) Neuropsychology including clinical, developmental, and cross-cultural neuropsychology. The successful candidate will be expected to develop and maintain an active research program; seek external funding for their research; teach undergraduate classes in their area of expertise; mentor undergraduate students in research; advise students; provide service to the department, college, university, e.g., committee, administrative, supervisory. Some in-person teaching is expected. Some evening teaching may be needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, Neuropsychology, or related field. Candidates must demonstrate effectiveness in teaching and communication, scholarly achievement, and collaborative potential. Preferred qualifications include a strong publication and funding record and an innovative program of research. The successful applicant will be committed to mentoring undergraduate research and interested in joining the Doctoral faculty of the CUNY Graduate Center and mentoring PhD students.

COMPENSATION

$109,025 for a 9-month, full-time appointment.
