The Ball State University Counseling Center is looking for an experienced mental health professional to join our innovative team. We have an opening for an Associate Director for Prevention and Wellness. The ideal candidate will be a licensed mental health professional (licensure in Indiana a plus) and have at least three years of experience working in a university counseling center or with young adults. They will also have experience developing and providing outreach, prevention and wellness initiatives that promote positive mental health.

Position Function: Serve as Associate Director for Prevention and Wellness; responsible for management of outreach, prevention, and consultation services; provide individual and group counseling services to students, faculty, and staff; provide outreach/consultation services; conduct supervision and training; perform administrative duties as assigned; serve on unit, college, and university governance and program committees as appointed and assigned.

 

Minimum Qualifications: Advanced degree in mental health services that is eligible for licensure (MA, ABD, PhD or PsyD in Counseling or Clinical Psychology, Masters in Social Work, Masters Degree in Counseling/Marriage and Family Therapy or equivalent). Two years working in a university counseling center or comparable experience. Two years experience providing outreach in a university or community setting. Experience working with diverse populations.

Minimum Other: Meet eligibility requirements for licensure as a mental health provider in Indiana.

Preferred Qualifications:  Ph.D. from a program that is APA accredited; licensed as a psychologist in Indiana.
