We seek colleagues with theoretical knowledge and practical experience to prepare graduate students, current educators, and/or school and community leaders to deliver high-quality school and community programs.
We are seeking an experienced, innovative, and visionary leader to serve as the founding director of the new Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) program in School Psychology. The successful candidate will lead the design, implementation, administration, and accreditation of the program that aligns with the University’s mission to prepare highly skilled, ethical, and culturally competent school psychologists to address the complex needs of society. As the founding director, the candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the programs curriculum, recruiting faculty and students, fostering partnerships, and ensuring compliance with accreditation standards (e.g., National Association of School Psychologist [NASP]; American Psychological Association [APA]). This position provides an exciting opportunity to establish a high-quality, sustainable Psy.D. program in School Psychology that meets the growing demand for well-prepared school psychologists.
Key Responsibilities
● Program Development and Leadership:

Lead the design and development of the Psy.D. program, including curriculum development, program structure, and degree requirements.

Oversee efforts to achieve and maintain program accreditation with relevant professional bodies (e.g., NASP, APA).

Ensure that the program meets professional and educational standards for training license-eligible school psychologists.

Establish and implement the strategic vision and goals for the program.
● Collaboration and Outreach:

Build and sustain partnerships across the University, as well as with local school districts, community organizations, and professional associations.

Represent the program and institution at regional, national, and international levels.
● Research and Teaching:

Facilitate research in School Psychology.

Teach graduate-level courses in School Psychology.

Mentor and advise graduate students in School Psychology.
