The University of Arizona, Campus Health Services’ (CHS) Counseling & Psych Services (CAPS) department is seeking 4 full-time, fiscal 12 month/year around, Arizona licensed or license eligible mental health clinicians (LCSW, LPC, LMFT) to provide mental health triage, brief individual and group counseling, support groups, workshops, referral, consultation, outreach, and crisis services to UA undergraduate, graduate and professional students, with a particular focus on Asian, Pacific Islander, and Desi American (APIDA) students, on Indigenous (Native American/Alaskan Native) students, Hispanic/Latina-o-x students, and Black students.

These Cultural Center embedded positions, were created and funded by the University of Arizona Executive Office of the President in part, as response to a list of demands created by the Coalition of Black Students and Allies (COBA) www.health.arizona.edu/equity.The embedded counselors will work closely with the entire CAPS and Cultural Center staffs, as well as interfacing with the Campus Health Service (CHS) medical team, the Dean of Students Office, Housing and Residential Life, faculty, families, other campus departments and community entities. The other embedded Cultural Center positions include: NASA (Native American Student Affairs), AASA (African American Student Affairs), and the Adalberto & Ana Guerrero Student Center (GSC, Hispanic/Latina-o-x student support).
