The Department of Psychology at The University of Alabama announces an opening for a Clinical Assistant Professor position. This is a 12-month position and is scheduled to begin August 16, 2017. It is appropriate for a clinical psychologist with interests in teaching, clinical supervision, and clinical administration. This position will play an important role in our Clinical Ph.D. training program, which includes four concentrations (Clinical Geropsychology, Clinical Child, Psychology and Law, and Clinical Health). The position is renewable every three years and is promotion-eligible after six years (i.e., Associate Professor), although it is not tenure-eligible.

The position includes administrative/supervision duties for the Psychology Clinic (http://psychologyclinic.ua.edu), coordination of external applied placements, clinical supervision of graduate students, teaching at the undergraduate and/or graduate level, and service on department, college, or university committees. There is no research component. Candidates should have the following credentials: (1) Ph.D. prior to August 2017; (2) a graduate of an APA or CPA-accredited clinical psychology program; (3) completed an APA or CPA-accredited internship; and (4) eligible for Alabama licensure.
