McLean Hospital, America’s top ranked freestanding psychiatric hospital, is inviting applications for a part-time (20 hour/week) Director of our Child and Adolescent Testing Service, in Cambridge, MA.

The Director position includes administrative, clinical, and training responsibilities. The Director oversees the general operation of CATS and reports to the Director of Ambulatory Services at McLean. The Director’s responsibilities include developing operational procedures, tracking financials to support achievement of financial goals, and hiring neuropsychological and educational staff. Clinical requirements include conducting assessments with the post-doctoral fellow and maintaining appropriate medical records. The Director also helps to oversee the Post-Doctoral Training program and to provide supervision and didactic experiences to support the professional development of the post-doctoral fellows.

Neuropsychological training, experience, and expertise along with extensive work with assessment of complex psychological and neuropsychological disorders is required. Expertise in neuropsychological, academic, and projective psychological assessments is also necessary along with experience with special education practices and school support services. The successful candidate will have strong organizational, planning, and leadership skills and previous experience with post-doctoral training in neuropsychology.

Salary and recruitment package in accordance with Hospital policies, and a Harvard Medical School appointment at the academic rank of Lecturer, Instructor or Assistant Professor (full or part time) will be contingent on meeting the requirements for an HMS appointment and candidate qualifications including licensure.

Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. or Psy.D. degree in clinical psychology from an accredited university or school of psychology with current licensure in Massachusetts.
  • A two-year post-doctoral fellowship in neuropsychological assessment is also required along with at least 5 years professional experience in neuropsychological and psychological testing.
