Job Description: As a senior member of the University Health Service staff, the Director, University Counseling Center (UCC) reports to the Vice Provost and Director, University Health Service. The UCC Director provides leadership, direct patient service and supervision of multidisciplinary trainees including doctoral interns from an APA accredited program, post-doctoral fellows, psychiatry residents and social work interns. The Director UCC also provides consultation to faculty and staff regarding provision of counseling and mental health services to meet the needs of the students of the University of Rochester.
Qualifications:
A doctoral degree from an APA accredited program in counseling or clinical psychology including an APA accredited internship, or MD/DO with training in Psychiatry; New York State license in relevant discipline or license eligible required. Five to seven years of post-degree counseling experience primarily in a diverse college-aged population required. Administrative experience in general management, staff supervision, training, policy development, strategic planning, accreditation and evaluation preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Eligibility for appointment to a faculty position and clinical privileges in the Department of Psychiatry, Division of Psychology, University of Rochester School of Medicine & Dentistry required.
The position is full time, year round. Targeted start date is July 1, 2018.
