Job Summary: 

The University of Wisconsin-University Counseling Services (UCS) of the Norris Health Center seeks a Psychologist/Sr. Psychologist to primarily provide diagnostic evaluations and short-term individual and group therapy clinical services to student clients. Additional responsibilities include: supervise and provide other training of advanced practicum and/or post-doctoral psychology fellows; provide triage screenings and crisis intervention services for students; conduct training’s and other campus outreach services; consult with campus faculty and staff; maintain client records; participate in center quality improvement activities; and complete other duties as assigned. These services are provided within an integrated care model within the Norris Health Center.
The Psychologist/Sr. Psychologist would be working as a part of a dynamic team of mental health and medical care professionals (including psychologists, social workers, LPC’s, psychiatrists, post-doctoral fellows, medical staff and mental health trainees) providing services to a diverse, largely young adult population of graduate and undergraduate university students. Unit supported ongoing continuing education is expected.  The position features regular. predictable hours, no weekends, excellent benefits, and no insurance paperwork to be completed. This is a full-time, 9- or 12-month position. The position is salaried which is negotiable and will be based on qualification and experience.

“Of note, we are particularly looking for psychologist candidates who have experience and interest in supervision and developing our department as a multidisciplinary training site.  The candidate will help lead our agency in the development of a post-masters/post doc clinical fellowship and an APA accredited pre doctoral program in the future.”    
 
Minimum Qualifications: 
1. Possess a PhD or PsyD degree in psychology
2. Eligible to obtain WI psychologist license within 6 months of hire
3. Passed EPPP exam and be eligible to supervise
 
Preferred Qualifications: 
1. Currently possess a state license to practice psychology
2. Evidence of experience evaluating and treating clients with trauma or eating disorders
3. Evidence of experience providing supervision of mental health treatment to trainees or unlicensed staff
4. Evidence of experience working in a college counseling center
5. Evidence of experience designing and providing college counseling center education and training outreach activities
6. Evidence of experience doing crisis intervention with high-risk clients
7. Evidence of experience treating clients with a diversity of identities including race, ethnicity, orientation, gender, ability, and economic status through a social justice lens
8. Evidence of experience working within a brief treatment model
9. Evidence of experience using an electronic health record
10. Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a part of a multidisciplinary treatment team
11. Demonstrated ability to be highly flexible and modify work and treatment approach to meet the changing needs of a student population
12. Demonstrated interest and experience in training in mental health
